That's odd to me that you say that as I think season 2 is some of the best television I've ever seen period. I would rank the seasons like this:

2>4>1>>>>>>>>>3 and so far 5 is making a good argument to be top three.

The Micheal Bay produced Black Sails? Nah, I tried to get into it a couple of times but it just wasn't for me.

Well, I'm no fan of Michael "**** blows up" Bay, but since he's not actually directing or writing the script, it's really good.

Same. I thought it would be really good but, well, it wasn't really good. Season three now though, so I guess someone likes it.

If there is anything I have learned from pop culture in general is, that if something appeals to everyone, it's probably not very good. By this logic, the more of you dislike Black Sails, the better it becomes. Yes.
Now, seriously, this is somewhat puzzling to me. I read a ton of criticism about how, for example, the characters seemed 2 dimensional etc.. when in fact, when I compare this series to Game of Thrones (because it is very popular), I can see the opposite. The characters are very human - confused most of the time, questioning their decisions and motives of others.
The scenography is amazing, they actually build the Walrus to scale.
The plot twists are.. well, unconventional( but I'd have to venture into spoiler territory here).
The fights and combat are surprisingly well done, even Matt Easton from scholagladiatoria (an authority in hema - historical european martial arts, you'll have to believe my word if you're not familiar :P) was impressed by how realistic they were.

Having said all that, it might as well be the fact that I spent 200 or so hours sailing around Nassau in Assassins Creed 4: black flag, so I recognize most characters and locations

(amazing game, btw).
To each his own. I'm not here to convert anyone

But this is a tv series that I skipped because of the reviews.. and as it turned out, it was a mistake

If you have no problem with subtitles (and forgive me for being smart here, but considering you're Polish I assume you do not) then you should check out Isabel, which is in Spanish and is the historical account of the rise of Queen Isabella of Spain, but in drama form. It's full of the usual plots, twists, betrayals, shocks and deaths you'd expect, and seems to be historically accurate, from what I could gather.

Been busy catching up with the new Twin Peaks continuation, forgot to catch up on the latest Fargo episode last night.

Anybody else revisiting Twin Peaks? Haven't spent much time reading opinions on the new season but I imagine that the sheer magnitude of lunacy that Lynch has unleashed already has viewers quite divided. If you thought the final acts of season 2 were strange, this is a an entirely new level of madness, and trying to watch it without having watched the entirety of the preceding seasons would be tremendously confusing and probably frustrating. Personally, I've loved almost every minute of it thus far, I've always felt like Twin Peaks grew exponentially stranger with each episode and to see it begin to boil over into the non-stop insanity that is season 3 is exciting to me, if I had to choose the one thing about Lynch's brand of madness that I love the most it's that his vision is completely unpredictable to me, every single scene surprises me.

I've been loving the hell out of it and really taking my time watching the episodes so that I can take it all in. I'm halfway through episode four. It is mostly definitely closer to Lynch's films than the original series (which tbh is not exactly a bad thing imo).

Absolutely, I feel like the series reaching this level of absurdity was inevitable and it's refreshing to see Lynch genuinely doing what he wants with it rather than catering to the much easier crowd that just wants more relaxing mood-lit quirky diner scenes (not that I didn't thoroughly enjoy that era of the show).
