I don't think he means they are. I think he's referring to the obsession/interest/thing-of-the-moment that seems to surround all three.

Last week of Thrones / Rick & Morty for a long time, maybe ever

Thrones has kind of gone off the rails though sadly. It's no longer surprising.

I love this season of GoT. It is straight direct and to the point. None of that pointless filler episode crap that usually pops up mid season. I'm glad the last season is going to only be six episodes.

Binged this week:

Fullmetal Alchemist (2003 version)
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (2009 version)

I'd seen the first one about ten years ago and was lucky enough to remember nothing about the plot, only that at the time I had loved it. So I rewatched it to see if it was actually good, or if I just thought it was good when I was 17.

Turns out it's actually a really good story. Both versions are. They're tonally completely different and have vastly different strengths/weaknesses, but they've both got satisfying conclusions, which is more than most people get from a single TV series, let alone two versions of the same story.

TBH I think that hole is about to get a whole lot bigger, but in a good way?
