Really, it's a shame this movie is 3 hours, because it doesn't have to be. With that said, the final hour is by far some of David Lynch's most powerful work. I almost lost hope halfway through, but it really pulls it out in the end, in my eyes.

Fantastic visuals, expectedly undecipherable story, and a real sense of unique aesthetic. Brilliant film, probably would be up there with my other Lynch favorites Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks, and Lost Highway.

Still, well worth the watch.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
Al Pacino = God

I absolutely love the original Alien quadrilogy (including Resurrection), so words can't describe how much I'm looking forward to this movie. I think watching the bootlegged teaser trailer a couple of weeks back may have seen it usurp the Dark Knight Rises as my most anticipated movie of next year as well.

Probably this one.

We Need to Talk About Kevin.

I enjoyed the book so I am interested to see what they did with it.

Mission Impossible 4 : Ghost Protocol

looks more like a "team" effort, unlike the previous instalments, and I'd dying to see what Brad Bird (The Invincibles) does with the franchise

Sounds like it could be interesting. I quite liked MI3 as well, so I'll be looking forward to this one too.

Everything is better with robots.

A few decades late, but definitely Platoon. It's been sitting on my shelf for weeks now and I still need to get off my ass and watch it. Always loved Vietnam movies.
