Im sure everyone has heard of Walt Disney. and if you havent you should probably go to Disney World.

Well anyway i just wanted to see what peoples favorite Walt Disney movie is and mine is probably The Lion King. as *** as that sounds but yeah.

LoathsomePete 05-13-2009 09:52 AM

Aladdin, I think that was my very first movie I actually saw in theaters.

coryallen2 05-13-2009 09:53 AM

Aladdin is my favorite too. It was far from being the first movie I ever saw in the theater though, I saw it on a date in high school but I still liked it a lot.

Thrice 05-13-2009 10:18 AM

Aladdin, but does Pixar flicks count too? I like Cars and Nemo alot too.

kayla182 05-13-2009 10:41 AM

Love Aladdin but Hercules is my favorite! Im not sure if this is Disney but Anastasia rocks too

Your suspicions were correct, Anastasia isn't Disney.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Stellar soundtrack, great voice actors (Tom Hulce FTW, tying in with my recent fascination with Amadeus), and a villain that manages to haunt people of all ages. That's class right there. A great adaptation of a great book.

Antonio 05-13-2009 05:49 PM

Fantasia........

lavitabassa 05-13-2009 07:05 PM

peter pan and alice in wonderland

swim 05-13-2009 07:08 PM

Either Dumbo or Fox and the Hound.

Fox and the Hound is great, but... maybe you should refresh your memory of Dumbo ;)

Scarlett O'Hara 05-14-2009 01:50 AM

I love them all! But my favourite has to be equally shared between The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast.

Fruitonica 05-14-2009 03:43 AM

It's a hard choice, probably coming down to a tie between Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King.

I seem to remember Pinocchio being brilliant but it's been so long I can't be sure how well it would stand up.

It wouldn't, trust me.

Fletch 05-14-2009 05:54 AM

I`m going to give the Disney movie `Robin Hood` a mention- it has an oscar winning lovey dovey beautiful song called... "Love"

My 10yr old daughter sings it all the time, and i recently recorded her on Garage Band whilst strumming guitar, its so sugary it will rot your teeth!

Piss Me Off 05-14-2009 06:20 AM

Anything without a Phil Collins soundtrack.

NSW 05-14-2009 06:54 AM

Come on guys...no one's said Jungle Book? That movie had some great sing-along songs.

Fletch 05-14-2009 08:00 AM

On a purely scientific film making opinion - The Lion King has everything! Father/Son expectation relationship, Tragedy brought about by villains (Mufasas Death), Young Wild years living life on the edge (Simba going jungle!), LOVE STORY, Nazi comparison to Scars reign as king, Belief in Simbas destiny and then training as such (similar to the original Star Wars / Luke Skywalker concept), Confrontation with Villains and doubtfulness about Mission (Scars accusation Simba killed his father), Triumph over Evil via belief.

I guess i do like The Lion King too ! Its a perfect emotional rollercoaster.

pahuuuta 05-14-2009 08:16 AM

i hated the little mermaid, and your theory of the lion king i doubt that is what they planned it out to be like i think you made it up.

kthedrummer 05-14-2009 08:19 AM

Robin Hood and Aladdin are my favorites but i like a lot of them...I have a Robin Hood lunchbox from when I was a kid.

pahuuuta 05-14-2009 08:37 AM

aladdian was pretty good, all 3 of them. what is better the lion king 1 or 2

jackhammer 05-14-2009 08:40 AM

I'm not really a big Walt Disney fan at all but if I had to choose it would either be The Jungle Book or Robin Hood.

pahuuuta 05-14-2009 12:08 PM

why does everyone like the jungle book so much ive watched it a couple times and i just cant get into it.

Because the rest of them are crap?

Fruitonica 05-14-2009 07:01 PM

Actually, the jungle book should be up on my list as well. If only for the bear necessities.

That could easily have been the first movie I ever saw.

I've always wondered; is that supposed to be some random guy on your last.fm widget? Because he looks a LOT like the lead singer of Linkin Park

And Jungle Book is up there for me. Just not enough conflict for my taste; that sort of storyline only works perfectly in Rudyard Kipling's writing.

simpleviolet 05-15-2009 11:29 AM

Alice in Wonderland is by far my favorite movie. I also enjoy Lady and the Tramp and Bambi. Though, I can't say there are many Disney Movies (at least animated) that I do not enjoy. As for live action, it's Mary Poppins!! (and the original Parent Trap takes a very close second)

Soundwave 05-19-2009 10:38 PM

Oliver & Company was and still is my #1 favorite Disney movie.

Gone Sugaring 05-20-2009 02:28 PM

It's between Dumbo and The Lion King. I watched Dumbo over and over again as a kid, and The Lion King is the first movie I remember seeing in theater.

I watched this an endless amount of times when I was younger. I know practically every line :o:

Flower Child 05-28-2009 11:30 AM

I personally liked Pocohantas the best.

Cinderella was another one of my favorites. I didn't like Snow White, she was so ditzy I couldn't hardly watch it.
I hated The Hunchback of Notre Dame, it scared the heck out of me.

I may have even watched it more than you, it's an absolute classic. I wish Walt Disney was still alive because Disney movies today are so shite.

coryallen2 06-05-2009 07:53 AM

WALL-E by far.

FooFighting 06-05-2009 08:13 AM
