Ah, so that explains everything. People really like the movie because they really like it. Makes sense.

Or people who don't like the movie. "Revolt" lol.

I just think the movie is a bundle of everything that's annoying about Tarantino. A bunch of moments where you're supposed to say "dude that's awesome!!1!" and high five your nearest bro buddy.

It's not in the movie because it means anything, it's in there because Tarantino is a manchild who just likes to make things EXTREME!!

No way that movie is anything more than just a cheap exploitation flick with a bit of fancy non-linearity thrown in.

It's a one of a kind film with great dialogue and atmosphere. Seems like you just have some perceptions of Tarantino that have pushed you into knee-jerk grudge territory in response to the film's acclaim.

You have it the wrong way around. I've watched almost all Tarantino's movies, and I can say, based on all of those, that I don't much enjoy his approach to film making. They strike me as far too adolescent in nature, whether that's fair or not.

Sounds a bit like exactly what I was talking about.

Everyone who don't agree with whatever you like have a defective way of thinking about things, got it.

He makes fun, pulp movies. Nobody said he was Haneke, nor does he need to be. Anyways, everyone has their own preference, it's cool...

I'm not saying I disrespect his movies, I just don't enjoy his style. Or mostly anway. I quite liked Jackie Brown, so that's an exception. Like with anything else, it's just my subjective opinion. No amount of Frownlandian attempts at re-framing and re-directing blame will make me enjoy Tarantino's films in general.
