did they say that in every episode or did i see this one  i remember it! :D

I actually can only remember Pinky & The Brain as a spin off, not as a part of Animaniacs show. Yakko, Wakko and Dot plus the watertower from the opening credits are about all I can recall from that show right now, might have to revisit some old episodes just for the hell of it.

How Old School is Old School?

wad 10-08-2009 02:33 PM

roll a sweet and turn on The Pink Panther!

TheBig3 10-08-2009 02:40 PM

hows about a shoutout to the obscure bastards who never got their due?

Count Duckula (moster of a show)

Bucky O'Hare (sick Megaman knock-off videogame too)

Teddy Ruxbin (big shoutout to Joe Natho, who not only had the lunchbox but the talking TR bear too)

Jem (f you, gem was the balls)

Whatever that show was that was basically the big named videogame characters in one show - Bigfoot, Link, one of the Belmont kids.

Toxic Avenger

Attack of the Killer Tomatos

Filmation's Ghostbusters

Warner Bros and Tex Avery were especially guilty, but not even Disney was as squeaky clean as some people remember.

Most people think of Mickey Mouse as being a real goodie two shoes compared to Bugs Bunny, but when you look at some of his old cartoons, you realise just how much of an assh*le this guy really was.

He has quite a reputation for committing horrific acts of animal abuse and reckless endangerment, as well as enough reported cases of sexual harassment that should earn him a place in the national registry of sex offenders.

Here's a good example of him doing all of these things.

Attempted rape @ 4:20

This is the statement of the day. I couldn't agree with you more.

You're right when you say Mickey doesn't have a completely clean past

This is from his episode "Steamboat Willie" and you know what...... It was hilarious

I never even heard of that one growing up. I watched almost all the big TMNT clones back then, does anyone remember Cowboys of Moo Mesa?

http://www.geocities.com/cowboysofmoomesa/COWboys.JPG

Talk about cowabunga, eh fellas?

Get it? They're a rowdy bunch of teenage mootants.

Hey guys what are you looking at? You have a beef with me? Don't have a cow man. Don't give me no bull or anything. Let's not steer this thread off topic. I'm just trying to milk this for all it's worth.

Ok, that's all the cow puns I have for the moment.

+81 10-09-2009 12:18 PM

That show was great. When it comes to puns, boo boo, you take the steak.

NumberNineDream 10-09-2009 09:34 PM

They're putting it this second on TV !!!! :tramp:

The comics are genius. Never watched the show... but now I might have to

anticipation 10-10-2009 11:00 AM

recess was amazing as well, one of my favorites. still, few animated shows can ever touch the brilliance of spongebob.

I read all the comics and re-watched them on TV, both are good. But you can't beat the comics.

** Now waiting for Steven Spielberg's stop-motion Tintin movie!!

I have never understood the phenomenon that is Spongebob Squarepants. Seriously, can someone explain to me why it is as loved as it is?

because it is a cartoon pitched at kids with Ren & Stimpy overtones in the humour and many a knowing wink to the adult audience in the gags. I am not an avid fan but we had some of the old episodes circulating here on DVD for a while and they were great, the later ones I've seen suck.
Simple answer? Stoner demographic

I absolutely detest that show. From the minute I saw the movie, and they were riding on David Hasselhoff or something, I thought, WTF is this rubbish and got some tissue to wipe the blood from my bleeding eyes.

boo boo 10-11-2009 09:43 PM

Bah, screw you guys.

I love Spongebob, it's the only good show Nickelodeon has left.

Arya Stark 10-11-2009 09:45 PM

Spongebob used to be good. Until the owner left.

That's not a cartoon. And it's not good. You fail.
