Funny enough as soon as I saw this I thought of Control, but for a different reason

This guy should play Kurt, imo. (He was also Peter Hook in Control, for those of you who don't know)

Jim Morrison in Oliver Stone's The Doors.

^ Good shout, thinking outside the box. Can he sing as well?

My vote goes to Gosling or someone unknown. It'd be nice to see someone unknown step up and do it. But I think Gosling has such potential

Not seen it though, not really a fan of The Doors.. Is it still a good watch even if you're not into the band?

I thought it was a fascinating watch because of Kilmer's performance.

But as you would expect from a Morrison biopic, it's quite a downer, the second half of the movie is pretty much devoted to how much of a raging drunk assh*le Morrison was. And it has the excessively sensational directorial style that Stone is famous for.

It's certainly flawed, I wouldn't recommend it if you're not a Doors fan but I'd recommend it to those who are, and to those who want to know what 60s hippie culture looked like at it's most excessive and dangerous.

Hmm, I don't like The Doors.. But I don't dislike them. It's more me never getting into them, and I think Kilmer has been in some decent films. I think I'm gonna give it a go. The 60s free love and everything does interest me as well.

Have you given a listen to Strange Days or Waiting for the Sun? Everyone talks up their debut, but those two albums are amazing IMO.
