Yeah, believe what you want to believe...but I am convinced she killed him either way. Anyone trying to leave Courtney in some way (as Kurt was doing...leaving her without any benefits of his estate) ended up dieing of a heroin overdose. This includes Hole's bassist Kristen Pfaff, who hated Courtney and tried to get the hell out.

^x4 same with Melissa Auf der Maur, but she played with Corgan.... maybe Billy did it? a new conspiracy? can we run with this and make it a new viral sensation? you all heard it here first BILLY CORGAN KILLED KURT COBAIN!

fact is some junkies died and their folks wanted to remember the bright eyed child they neglected as opposed to the broken adult they helped create. so no... there's no way they did it to themselves...

there's also the real fact that these are all real people with legitimate lives that keep going long after the camera has been put back into its case and the clips have been edited for broadcast. there's no way all the details and contributing factors have been 'made public' nor is there really any reason for their private lives to be constantly scrutinized.

what would it actually change 16 years later?

I think Courtney Love is smarter than people realise, even she probably knows that her career wouldn't be what it is if it were for two things, the fact that she banged Kurt Cobain and the fact that she's a psycho publicity magnet.

Perhaps she felt Cobain's star was falling or that there was no place to go but down, and knew that Kurt dying at his peak would canonize him like it has many stars before him and she could profit from his booming popularity and the legacy of his death, not to mention have complete control over his estate, which is important to consider especially if it's true that Cobain had planned to divorce her.
