So there's a Skyrim mod for PC that lets you use a speech recognition program and microphone to physically do your shouts... lol... And you have to actually learn the words of the shouts and how to pronounce them well enough for the recognition to understand and activate whatever you're shouting.

I guess it's not a new concept, what with speech recognition being used to activate stuff in RPGs and all, but this is a whole new level of immersion that I'm sure my neighbors would not appreciate.

Too much lag time between the voice activation and the shouts themselves, but it's a fun idea.

Check out this article if you want mods - 25 best Skyrim mods by PC Gamer. Can't really say whether these are the "best" mods, but they wrote a similar article about New Vegas mods and it was a great list.

I will attest for Sky Ui. Made the game much better and more presentable.

I tried using it, and even though it was FREAKING BADASS I really suck at pronouncing the shouts. The only one I could get right was Fus Ro Dah and that's just because I shout it a million times every day as it is.

Still, it's a great mod that gets a Thu'ums up from me.

Whats the best way to defeat a Frost Troll, as I easily get slaughtered by one everytime I try to fight one?

Fire. I can't stress the value of fire when it comes to anything Frosty or Trolly enough. Failing that, followers help. Is the one on the way to High Hrothgar the one giving you trouble? You should have Lydia if you're heading there, so I'd just enlist her help.
