dialogue options never came up when i tried to negotiate a truce between the two groups or whatever. It's part of the "season unending" quest

Can't you just bypass that quest by finishing the Stormcloak/Imperial story line?

Nah those dialogue options never come up either.

I'm not even that far in the quest, it's the dialogue options before that.

At least I have the security of knowing the patch is out there somewhere, so i could start playing again. It just feels weird to vicariously explore the world just for my own keen curiosity when dragons are in the sky destroying everything. I can't just lope around I gotta save skyrim first!

Been playing a lot over the last week and now upto level 17 and have just entered Windhelm for the first time and to achieve one of my misc. missions to join the Stormcloak rebellion, only to discover that the Stormcloaks are a bunch of Nord racists, hell I've been slaying Imperials whenever I got the chance! Now I feel I've been on the wrong side.

Anyways by level 17, I'm pretty mean with my Orcish warhammer and Falmer bow and that combined with plenty of stealth and cunning sees me slaying all types of people.

The Stormcloaks aren't all bad. I'm a Bosmer and I managed to join their ranks so they can't be all that racist. I chose their side just cause I am pretty much against anything thalmor related.
