So it turns out my family were involved in the event the Red Wedding is based on, the MacCaithmhuils(Campbells) massacred the MacDomhnaills(MacDonalds) in the Glencoe massacre in 1692.

Now I feel bad.

Yeah but they weren't involved in the Black Dinner were they? it's also based on that.

But I came in here to ask everyone, what does everyone think of Iwan Rheon playing Ramsay? I think he's honestly really great at the part, I've seen Iwan in Misfits previously so I was unsure of how he'd be as a psychopath, because I always imagined Ramsay as being ugly and gross but Iwan is pretty handsome

Nah that was an entirely different affair. The event still affects relations today believe it or not, even if it is an innocent joke or statement when meeting another MacDonald. Funnily enough, my mother is related to the MacDonald family that fled Scotland after the event, so I am a successful marriage of the two families.

I expected him to be a little more wretched looking. Not big (this is Reek we're talking about, right?)

I got the impression he was more of an Igor-like character, but I really like the way he's portrayed in the show. He seems to have taken some cue's from Heath Ledger in the Dark Knight.

Ramsay, not Reek. Reek is Theon, remember? Iwan is actually pretty great as an actor

I think they call Theon "Reek" in the show, but in the books I'm pretty sure he's they guy Theon gives leave of Winterfell tofor the purposes of negotiating more men from the Dreadfort.

When he returns, he punches Theon in the face. There is definitely a "Reek" in Winterfell. I'm less certain that that's who the show is referencing with Ramsey.

He's Reek in the show but in the books, Reek is an entirely different person, actually. Ramsay pretends to be Reek in the books and Reek pretends to be Ramsay

Jesus Christ these books are terrible. I haven't come across one scene that was better written than acted.

Hahaha, they're not terrible, it's the writers who are terrible, not the author.
