Well in case nobody's actually visited London the summer weather there is more likely to be torrential rain than a hot and sunny day at any time. In fact if Westeros was truly faithful to the British source material the only sunny periods they'd see would be randomly in the middle of late autumn.

I'm pretty sure King's Landing is based on London politically, rather than geographically. King's Landing is supposed to be very sunny during the summer, it is more like...Madrid or Paris in terms of the summer it gets, parts of it even remind me of Carthage, or Ancient Rome.

Jesus, Cercei. Did you comprehend anything about what I wrote? The vegetation also isn't true to London, and also, where are all the bowler hats, gin drinks, and umbrellas?

Why, do you suppose, the NHS isn't in full effect in GoT?

In unrelated news, Volaria (which I assume is Paris) never had dragons. WTF, George? And while we're at it, why isn't the royal court speaking high Valyrian. And why doesn't Old Town speak Ghis? And where the Christ is Shakespeare?

Also I was watching s3 again with the special features on, and it says Dorne is the desert region

Do white ppl normally live in desert regions? I mean it's fantasy, why not make it more diverse?

BTW Valyria is an old country that is uninhabited, Brennan, but High Valyrian is still spoken, and a lot of the other languages aside from the Common Tongue are derived from High Valyrian.

P sure that's not a spoiler since in book 1 in Vaes Dothrak Daenerys sees a painting I think? in Drogo's manse depicting the Doom of Valyria, which is some kind of catastrophe that made it rain fire over it or something.
