Martin has finished writing it yet, but given the release dates of the last two it wouldn't surprise me if it's 2016.

Hell that's the problem when you read these novels in 'real time' instead of after the whole thing has already been written.

I keep ****ing hearing about him doing all these new projects and I seriously just want to lock him in my ****ing basement and make him write the last books

I don't want him to rush it, I mean it would bbe a disaster if he released this one if it preceived theway the last two were by some parts of the fandom, as bad books. Or not as successful as the first three.

The problem is I think, he's now under pressure to hurry up with the next release and that's going to come at the cost of quality. The series just got too famous.

Quality? What quality? These books aren't really well written, they're half-decent vehicles for the plot I want a resolution for.

The show is leaps and bounds a better piece of narration.

Man, I really need to do a refresher before the 6th one comes out. I don't recognize half of the things you mentioned in your spoiler section. I started to lose a bit of interest while reading the 5th one, to be honest. Easily the weakest book in the series. I'm hoping he gets back on track on 6.

Still waiting on season 3 to come out on DVD as well.

ADWD is pretty **** but I hate Juan Nieves and Dany so that's nothing out of the ordinary.
The excerpts seem alright.

I'm kicking myself pretty hard right now. I've only watched the first few episodes of the show and am totes hooked. I can't believe I wrote this off as just another Twilight-type fad. Great show, can't wait to get started on the books.
