Well, fortunately, it's impossible to make that movie any worse that it was in English.

As part of our dystopian post-apocalyptic movie marathon this week, I was forced to endure Waterworld. Not a single redeeming quality to that piece of garbage. You can't even watch it ironically. It's just awful.

Howard the Duck gets a pass because of Lea.

It was also the most expensive movie ever made up to that point.

I really think this is one of the reasons people hate it that much.
If it was just some 80s B-movie, it might even have lots of fans, but since it's such an expensive film, people are much more critical of its admittedly many, many flaws.

Scott Pilgrim was supposed to be soo good. I didnt last 15 minutes.
Too clever by half and was dishearteneded to hear music I like being marketed to the teeny hipster crowd. Im crotchety like that I guess. The East, also. Something about seeing something dear to your heart displayed and dissected on the big screen is really repulsive if done in 'the wrong way'.

I thought it was decent. Certainly not on the level of the comics but it was a good film. Not sure exactly what you mean about the music either. I feel like the "teeny hipster crowd" is who mid 2000's garage punk and indie was marketed towards anyways. I suppose I'm part of that demographic.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

I have no recollection of what the soundtrack to Scott Pilgrim was but I do remember really enjoying the movie.

Anything Edgar Wright touches turns to gold, Scott Pilgrim included.
