This looks like the game that should have followed San Andreas: a giant sandbox world that, if there is any justice, will be even bigger than the original, with even more pointless crap to steal days of your life. That's the entire reason that San Andreas ruled. I could go wander around in the backwoods, or a desert, or just plain drive around on the miles and miles of highways. What could I do in Liberty City? **** all, that's what.

And they brought back planes! Awesome! And I don't remember if they took tanks out of IV, but I don't seem to remember them. And you can have clothes that don't look like an old man's. Seriously, I ****ing hated the clothing in IV. I don't even know why they bothered.

All that crap is why I traded in my copy of IV and got the new Saints Row instead. Never regretted it either. This game looks like it may help Rockstar reclaim the throne.

Yes!

What decade did you want them to use? I prefer present day over anything else honestly.

The DLC and the multiplayer more than made up for everything else that you are bitching about plus Liberty City being modeled off of NYC was enough for me to love it and keep playing it. I still play it to this day!

I never played the DLC, but unless it brought back the massive sandbox world then I'm sure it's interest would have been just as short-lived as the main storyline. I don't play GTA for the storyline. I play it to do donuts over cops and spend hours doing pointless bull**** that has **** all to do with the actual game. I do it for defending my turf. I do it for hanging out in an airfield in the middle of a goddamn desert. I do it for driving an off road motorcycle through the woods. I do it for stealing harriers and jetpacks and alien goo from the government. I do it for piloting helicopters over boats, exiting them over the boat, killing the owner, and then using the boat to pirate other boats. So, Niko can kiss my ass.

oh that's fine. You are one of those creative players that don't really care about storylines and just use GTA as an outline to vent and do the wild shit that you'd love to do in reality but can't. Or after a stressful day you use it to unwind by taking out your frustration on the game.

I personally only play for the story. I don't rack up stars to see how high I can get them and then get away or the type of body counts I can get before I get killed. It's almost like when you see little kids killing ants with a lens using the sun.

Sexy online footage of course I just noticed that it's on the homepage of youtube so most people might have seen it but yeah w/e

The sexy part about online is being able to create your own events or just playing some of the ones that others have created. I really like user generated content. I've had loads of fun in Infamous 2 with it and also in the newest Hitman with user generated content.

I'm not sure whether I should take offense to that or not.

I guess that came out wrong. I'm not trying to say you are the serial killer in training types. I apologize.

Just that you get your kicks by creatively killing people within the games parameters.

Oh. Well hell yeah I do. Being a good person is dull.

The reviews are in and it is currently sitting at a 97 on Metacritic. If you feel like seeing some first hand examples in favor of the obliteration of the human race go over to GameSpot and check out the comments section for their review. People are going nuts because they only gave it a 9/10.

This game is going to blow my mind.

I bought 4 and thought it was slightly above average at best. Not even arsed about this, I may buy it but I sort of feel like GTA lost it's magic once I got older.

I saw the opening 20 minutes on the internet though and it looked like it was based way more around the storyline which is what I like as I'm a MGS/FF fan.
