Anybody else ignoring the Oscars?
I didn't even realize it was on until the radio play-by-play announcer for the Everett Silvertips made a reference to them during the second intermission. I feel they have been for sale for a lot of years, I *completely* lost interest in them after The English Patient got the Best Picture award over Fargo in '96. If they get it right once in awhile, I can only make the comparison to a stopped clock being right twice a day.

I think there was a time, probably in the '70's and earlier, that they meant something. But as I said they have been for sale for many many years now. |

To be honest, my favorite part about the thing was watching my favorite stars talk to the media on the red carpet. Now that there's twitter and youtube, I have zero need for that. I'll see the results tomorrow. And I still won't care who won.
I like a bunch of the contenders this year though, which hasn't happened to me for a long time. |

I was trying to watch NBA, but someone kept making me change the channel to the Oscars.
I don't have a lot of respect for the Oscars. |
I'm watching Attack on Titan for the 4th time instead
