The Monuments Men was a pretty cool recent war movie.

My all-time favourite war movie is Battle of Britain. Long before the days of CGI -- all those air combat scenes were filmed with real Spitfires, Hurricanes, Messerschmitts, and Heinkels. The latter had been acquired from the Spanish air force, and apparently the locals were quite shocked to see wings of German bombers in their skies once again!

I guess exciting was the wrong word, interesting would be a better placeholder. You can show how meaningless war is while still creating a film that is interesting to watch beyond battle sequences (that part is good, I agree).

Another unpopular opinion: 1408 is Steven King's best work. The short story, not the film.

Is it unpopular to dislike King?

If you're under 16 or have never read a good horror novel, yes. Otherwise, no.

House, M.D. ended unfavorably.

Yes. He faked his death (I think) and just rode off into the sunset with Wilson? Now, granted, if they were gay, it would have been perfect, as they are the true OTP of that show, but they're not, so it just made no sense. I was never totally on board with the last season cause they got rid of the team and gave him a new one that we knew we wouldn't see for more than a year (although I did love the Asian chick), and they ****ing got rid of Cuddy. All those years of building up to House and Cuddy, and not only do they break them up, they do it in the second to last season, and just leave it at that. **** that.

House and Cuddy were meant to be. Such a shame it was written that he drove into her fucking living room during Christmas dinner. I cried all through the scenes of Wilson's treatment toward the end and cried a lot during the final episode, especially when I thought House was dead, but I wanted to fucking throw something when it was revealed that he led all of them on. I was honestly half expecting it but it would have really offered more closure if House would have just overdosed and died in the bath or something.

WHAT HAPPENS TO WILSON AND HOUSE NEXT??

That's the part that really gets me.

I like to think that they become an old gay couple who live together, constantly having adorable squabbles over petty bull**** till the day one of them dies, and then the other dies a week later. They just happen to not have sex.

And yes. House x Cuddy 4 Eva. They seriously ****ed that up. Also, Cuddy is pretty much the perfect MILF. Perfect body, sexy voice, and that Jew nose always gets me.

Would obliterate.

I'm actually not even sure if I was more attracted to Cuddy or House because wow, she was the perfect woman, but he had those piercing eyes. Fuck's sake. I wish they would have ended up together, with all my fangirling little heart, but I also ship HousexWilson.

I work with this woman who looks just like Wilson. I'm not even kidding. Maybe I'll be able to sneak a pic one time.

I just so get House and Wilson's dynamic. All of my really good friendships have basically been some form of that. Me, the outrageous, antisocial jackass, constantly pushing the other's buttons just for my own personal amusement, and my long-suffering friend, resigned to the fact that he's attached to a douchebag, but too fondly amused by my antics to ditch me. Opposites may not always attract, but when they do they're like two pieces of a puzzle.
