And they change the smart guy into the black guy because a black guy having average human intelligence is not politically correct. As if skin color had anything to do with IQ. That's what bugs me. They already had a Chinese girl with a clearly Asian family named. I never knew a Mexican who's last name was Lang. That's what annoys me.

And since this is a film adaptations board, I think I can make a common complaint that people have about film adaptations, Power Rangers or not.
Weren't all the actors in the original show Japanese?

Saban took the show's clips of the power rangers suits fighting, got their own American cast to play the teenagers so it would take place in America, filmed them at the fictional Angel Grove and combined them with the clips from the Japanese show, which was called Super Sentai and technically qualifies as a different show by both Toei (Super Sentai) and Saban (Power Rangers). In terms of marketing, the two are vastly different, especially considering Super Sentai's been around sense the 60's and Saban made Power Rangers in the 90's.

That just kills the series for anyone who ever watched the original!

I can't believe the original was bastardized like that! And the political correctness of making the cast no longer Japanese!

I'm surprised this Power Rangers conversation is still going on. Get over it.

So basically, typical Frownland. I'm surprised people still react to it.
