Fair enough but the head writer and showrunner does consider children to be the main audience, ironically he also wrote some of the darker episodes and my personal favourite "The Girl in the Fireplace". Two/Three decades ago children watched Animals of Farthing wood, Watership Down and even Plague Dogs (PG13) I don't think a dustbin on wheels is really pushing the boundaries.
