The whole movie is pretty good actually, he's a very stern principal to say the least

Lean on me is a classic. There is nothing cheesy about that movie. That and Stand and Deliver still stand up as great movies.

I find its whole "Lets whip these kids into shape" concept to be somewhat cheesy and i also find Morgan's acting unintentionally funny

it's a good film though.

I put it on a par with October Sky which I also love.

Yeah, I remember the Highlander series doing the rounds when I was a kid as well. Along with the first movie it's probably the most objectively good thing to come out of the Highlander franchise. The 4th movie was alright as well.

Again though, I personally get way more enjoyment out of just laughing my arse off at this one though. From Michael Ironside's overacting to the shameless Blade Runner ripoffs, the hilariously hamfisted environmentalist message and so much more - what's not to love!

Such very different movies though. Love October Sky. Lean on Me is a bit one noted. Dude's just super angry the entire movie and screw what anyone else thinks.
