For the first time in a while I'm thoroughly enjoying a Markiplier playthrough. He's doing (done actually) the new Doom, and it's fantastically fun to watch just the gameplay, but his enthusiasm his infectious. It's one of those games that's perfect for a specific Youtuber, as it's not story-based (which Markiplier would ruin by being so OTT) and is so high-energy and run-and-gun that his natural goofiness just clicks with the action.

Now I totally wish I had a better computer or newer console so that I could play this game that just looks like loads of mindless fun.

^I'm probably going to pick up DOOM this weekend. It looks like so much fun and it seems like a good way to spend a couple hours on a weekend.

It made me crave some Brutal Doom. Was good until the y-axis on my right stick stopped working all together. Don't know why that keeps happening with that game. If I have to go back to keyboard and mouse it's gonna be a pain in the ass remapping all the keys I changed setting up my controller.

I'm more fond of mouse and keyboard if I had to choose. I play Rocket League with a controller but that's the only exception. I've become cursed with having a nice PC so when I try to play consoles, it feels awkward. Though, I've been wanting to play Bloodborne since it came out though I don't have a PS4.

I'm just so used to playing shooters with a controller that a mouse is actually too accurate, so I always end up overshooting enemies. But it's definitely more awkward trying to move with a keyboard.

That's understandable. I've tried to play shooters with a controller, and it's weird because I'm so used to now being so accurate with a mouse. I do miss the days of when I played console shooters though, but I feel more immersed on a PC.

I find that the fewer number buttons/keys on a controller, along with having your interactive device being small enough to fit in your hands reduces my awareness of it, so I'm able to concentrate more on the game itself. So the opposite of you I guess.

That's also true. There are time though that I can't find a comfortable position with my mouse and keyboard. I find myself trying to get my arms in the right position and there's literally only one way for it to be comfortable. However, with controllers, your arms can be relaxed, so I suppose you have that advantage.

But of course, with something like an RTS, where you need all those different keys, and the accuracy of a mouse, there's no substitute for a mouse and keyboard. But if you could easily do one or the other, I'd definitely rather go with a controller.

Speaking of RTS's, I remember the first time j ever played Warcraft III: Frozen Throne. To this day, it's probably still one of my all time favorite games. At least in my top 5. The story and campaigns are perfect. I wonder if I could find a copy of it somewhere.
