i guess. the one thing i will say his that is his stances on most things change regarding who he is around, especially on his podcast. if you compare the way he acts around shane smith or sam harris to the way he does around milo or steven crowder it's like an entirely different person. although he has admitted he's just an idiot who learns new things with each guest, so i suppose he's aware of it.

Goofle 04-01-2017 01:44 PM

The podcast with Alex Jones was probably my favourite thing of this year.

Frownland 04-01-2017 01:56 PM

Speaking of Alex Jones...

Anybody see the new Louis CK special, 2017? I thought it was great, especially the part about time.

[MERIT] 04-27-2017 02:07 AM

I will be doing a set this coming Tuesday night. Wish me luck.

hell to the yeah. Louis can basically do no wrong. opening with the abortion bit was brilliant as well.

Goofle 04-27-2017 05:25 AM

Yeah it was pretty good. Definitely better than Bill Burr's latest one.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 04-27-2017 09:30 AM

Louis is better overall anyway so it's to be expected, imo of course. still love Bill though.

TBH I thought the opening was awkward, like he was having trouble feeling out the crowd.

Someone should overdub his new comedy special with the best jokes from his podcast. Bulbasaur, I assume you'll be on it.

Burr seems more genuine with his humour in that it really does just feel like him shooting the **** while Louie's is a lot more planned out. Not necessarily a good or bad thing but worth noting.

DwnWthVwls 04-27-2017 11:51 AM

Jo Koy on Netflix was pretty fucking hilarious..

This is why I'll never be able to take your opinion seriously anymore.

But Louis CK is like a comedy god. I honestly don't know if I'd take him or Doug Stanhope as the current best.

Key 04-27-2017 12:56 PM

I don't know what I'm talking about.

Goofle 04-27-2017 01:05 PM

I like Jim Norton's podcast (with Sam Roberts) but I've never seen a live show. Any suggestions?

Watched Maria Bamford's new special on netflix this morning and it was wonderful, as expected. The part where she reenacted her and her husband "LARPing" as their mothers was amazing.

Key 05-14-2017 10:35 AM

Woke up this morning with a strange need for comedy and decided to watch Lucas Bros: On Drugs. It was quite good. Not a dull moment throughout the whole special. These guys are really good at doing the twin comedy thing. Hoping they have more / come out with more stuff.

Frownland 07-17-2017 07:55 PM

Well this is new to me.

I've seen that on my Youtube recs but I just haven't clicked yet. I think I'm about to be about that.

Frownland 07-17-2017 08:14 PM

I've seen a couple of clips and recognize the outfit but I've definitely not seen the whole special.

At the part where he's talking about mentally disturbed versus mentally challenged people, "they walk through the crosswalk talking to themselves, and you know if you make eye contact with him, all of those problems in his head are gonna be your problem."

The Batlord 07-17-2017 08:46 PM

I'm at the beheading videos part. Savage.

Frownland 09-04-2017 10:13 PM

Hannibal Burress is pretty great.

I'm tired of beheading videos. once you've seen one, you've seen 'em all.

He performed at the comedy store when I was in NYC. Absolutely had me crying. Wasn't even the best of the night (I think I got really lucky) but I've been paying more attention since. Pretty good on Joe Rogan too.

I don't find most women comics funny. Sarah Silverman is one of the worst!

If you like Carlin and Chappelle, then you have some good taste. Have you ever listened to Doug Stanhope or Louis C.K.? Greg Geraldo [R.I.P.] and Mitch Hedberg [R.I.P.] are always good.

The Batlord 10-03-2017 07:14 PM

Adam Sandler?

Adam Richard Sandler (born September 9, 1966[3]) is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, film producer, and musician. After becoming a Saturday Night Live cast member, Sandler went on to star in many Hollywood feature films that combined have grossed over $2 billion at the box office.[4] He is best known for his comedic roles, such as in the films Billy Madison (1995), the sports comedies Happy Gilmore (1996) and The Waterboy (1998), the romantic comedy The Wedding Singer (1998), Big Daddy (1999), and Mr. Deeds (2002), and voicing Dracula in Hotel Transylvania (2012) and Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015). Several of his movies, most notably the widely panned Jack and Jill, have gained harsh criticism, culminating in a shared second place in the number of Raspberry Awards (3) and Raspberry Award nominations (11), in both cases second only to Sylvester Stallone. He has ventured into more dramatic territory with his roles in Punch-Drunk Love (2002), Spanglish (2004), Reign Over Me (2007), Funny People (2009) and The Meyerowitz Stories (2017).

The Batlord 10-03-2017 07:33 PM

Now that was a cringey dad joke of worth.

Frownland 10-03-2017 07:38 PM

I think sometimes I'm just a little too hip for you. Adam Sandler knowledge is a serious skill.

Frownland 10-03-2017 10:25 PM

As a compassionate person, I equally **** on comics of all genders.

David Cross's 2016 special was garbage.

They tend to talk about things that I don't find funny. Like, hey, you talked about your VAGINA 12 times in your act. Good for you. And how liberal you are. *YAWN* They tend to tailor their acts toward women. Either that, or act super obnoxious in attempt to seem relatable to men, which just fails miserably most of the time.
