It wasn't with me bragging about my success in life, it was with you bragging about being such a "functional" alcoholic.

I merely pointed out the obvious fact that you live with your mom so it's pretty easy to be functional when you don't have to pay your own way. FTR I was also functional whenever I lived with my parent(s)

You are still not getting it. You not falling into the true rabbit hole of self destructive addiction is not a sign of personal strength but rather a symptom of the comfortable life your mom allows you. Living in the suburbs on your parents dine drinking bum beer is undoubtedly the best life style any Steel Reserve drinker ever enjoyed... so count your blessings.

But as I said before I wasn't bragging about myself I was giving you a reality check... Functional while not paying your own bills = not that functional. That's the bottom line.

I don’t know the deets but my understanding is Bat contributes to his mom both emotionally and financially and gives way more than he takes. Not everyone who lives at home is a mooch.
