The Angry Birds now for example seem to have grown a pair of hands.

I thought Jguy was kidding, there's actually an Angry Birds movie coming out? wtf? whyyyyy? if it does well Candy Crush is sure to follow and then sh*tty movies about sh*tty mobile games will be the norm and then i'll have to kill myself cause i don't want to live in such a world.

Battleship (2012) - IMDb

There are also some nsfw Twister movies that I can't post on the forum.

There's an emoji movie in the works too, if those weren't bad enough.

I'm actually working on a sci-fi/fantasy fanfic for Bejeweled. I'm actually giving it a story, one that revolves around the jewels themselves instead of the puzzle. I just want to see if I can do it.

I almost took my life when that movie came out but thankfully Rihanna was in it to save me. i don't understand how they keep making movies out of things that shouldn't be made into a movie. just because some things are well known throughout pop culture it doesn't mean you should make it into movie! it feels like they're scraping the bottom of the barrel to make a quick buck out of familiarity even if it doesn't translate well to the cinematic medium.

Why make an Angry Birds movie? Movies are still a relatively safe bet. Although production costs have gone up, the average revenues have followed accordingly. There are many people out there willing to invest to movies and it's still pretty common to double ones investment.

And for Rovio it's pretty much the last chance to breath any life back to the franchise.

Think of the positive side: If the movie crashes and burns in the box office, it'll probably be the last you'll ever see of them birds.

You now it won't though. It's a major studio CGI children's film. If Frozen taught us anything, it's that this movie could top even that record. There's an infinite supply of 7 year olds in the US. This movie will only make merchandising more widespread. Imagine all the merchandise they'd be selling if they released a Minecraft movie.

Well that isn't true, it all depends on the story written. The Lego Movie was pretty damn amazing. Looking forward to the Lego Batman spinoff coming out soon. Also Mac from Always Sunny is directing the Minecraft movie. It is still in development last I heard though.

Fassbender's gonna be in an Assassin's Creed movie. Again, I'm not a fan. But I love Fassbender's acting.
