It had a story, it looks true to the game (I watched cutscenes) and it has a good cast. Action looks cool too. Doesn't look like the best movie ever, but I have seen far worse.

I was a pretty big fan of the first game when it came out. I'll let you handle the movie though, JGuy.

You mean apart from everything? nothing.

Don't tell me you like him too.

I don't love Dunham but then again I never really laugh at much television comedy. He's aight.

Watch the Angry Birds movie trailer. You'll see your opinion change of the Ratchet and Clank trailer.

Oh, not that I don't agree with you on this, but apart from every other Pixar film, CGI films aren't usually non-cliched.

Granted, I never played the game as a kid. I'm an Xbox and Nintendo person.

I totally agree. But that's partially why Ratchet seemed like a relief to me.

Some more work from E Elias Merhige is on the horizon and of course I'm very excited about it. Also looks like it's more in the Begotten vein than some of his other work. Still needs funding for completion, which I'm sure it will reach.

POLIA AND BLASTEMA is a love story about two beings that believe themselves to be ONE. Two alien creatures: completely distressed and confounded by their separation. The film is a ritual enacted, where each find the other across time and space as they try to become the other literally and physically, in the process creating a new utopia, a mythic city where the two beautifully merge to become a new kind of creature, a new form of god.

That's the big problem with franchises like Angry Birds and Ratched and Clank trying to make it to the big screen. It's very hard to see them to be able to carry through 80 minutes without extending the characters to some directions that really don't seem that faithful to the original characters.

The Angry Birds now for example seem to have grown a pair of hands.

The Ratchet and Clank movie looked true to the game. Character-wise, anyway.

 I certainly hope it's true to itself.
