It had a story, it looks true to the game (I watched cutscenes) and it has a good cast. Action looks cool too. Doesn't look like the best movie ever, but I have seen far worse.

I was a pretty big fan of the first game when it came out. I'll let you handle the movie though, JGuy.

I totally agree. But that's partially why Ratchet seemed like a relief to me.

Some more work from E Elias Merhige is on the horizon and of course I'm very excited about it. Also looks like it's more in the Begotten vein than some of his other work. Still needs funding for completion, which I'm sure it will reach.

That's the big problem with franchises like Angry Birds and Ratched and Clank trying to make it to the big screen. It's very hard to see them to be able to carry through 80 minutes without extending the characters to some directions that really don't seem that faithful to the original characters.

The Ratchet and Clank movie looked true to the game. Character-wise, anyway.
