Exactly.

Have you seen Ace Attorney?
I've never played the game, but the movie is fun in a very cartoonish way. I could imagine an anime fan like you really enjoying it.

I'm not much of a gamer either and like you I'm a huge movie buff. So I'd rather see more movies based on original concepts rather than a bunch of adaptations of video games.

That's a given.
But why not both?
Would still love to see a good Half-Life or Dead Space movie.

Meh. I don't know anything about Half-Life, but Dead Space always looked like a game that was very heavily influenced by the movies so I doesn't seem like it would be bringing anything new to the table.

I have to admit I know almost nothing about the plot of Dead Space and never played it myself, but I've spent a lot of time watching a friend play and while a movie wouldn't be groundbreaking in any way, the monsters and atmosphere are cool and would be enjoyable if done right.

I wasn't aware of the movie.

Are we talking about Batman v Superman? Cause it'll take more than 30 minutes of extra footage to save that pile of camel poo.

Have been so out of the Star Wars loop that I didn't even know this was coming out, but apparently it's due this December.

After being disappointed with The Force Awakens, I'm kind of dubious, but this movie looks like it won't have as much of the baggage of trying to copy the old films just to pacify the fans, and honestly looks like an entirely different kind of Star Wars movie than anything that's been made up to this point. Obviously they're still trying to draw people in with nods to the original trilogy, but I like the idea of fleshing out the Star Wars universe without having to commit to some grand vision that will be forced to live up to the original trilogy.

And as tactically unsound as AT-AT's are, that last bit kinda gave me a boner. Too bad that Forrest Whitaker sounds awful.

Oh, and to any REAL Star Wars nerd, you must be asking yourself, is "Rogue One" a reference to Rogue Squadron, or are they just using the name to attract the nerds without actually delivering on their obvious hint? Not that it would make sense for Rogue Squadron to be a part of this movie, since, I believe, they were only formed after the Battle of Yavin (aka the destruction of the first Death Star), but since they've already dispensed with all non-movie canon, then whatevs, I guess.

But if this is a Rogue Squadron thing, then the Rebel guy they kept showing but not actually naming in any way with the two green dots on his uniform... WAS PROBABLY WEDGE ****ING ANTILLES!!!
