Then I take it hipster is a 50's / 60's scene? I mean, with movies like Plan 9 or Adam West's Batman?

Don't worry, it was never cool.

Nah, you just have no appreciation for the finer things in life.

Yes, dumb young people have always existed. I think back then they were called beatnicks.

**** you both. The Resident Evil movies are top shelf so-bad-it's-good.

I don't even see them that way. They are not particularly well done or memorable, but have enough going on to be watchable and entertaining without having to resort to the so-bad-it's-good argument.

You say tomato, I say I hope you choke to death while trying to suck your own dick.

Filthiness is his brand of virtue. I mean, sometimes it's so abundant it's cheesy.

No actually, that's the best argument in that movie's defense. those watchable parts you mentioned are mostly a generic action plot that is there just to justify the over the top action sequence that will follow it. which WILL be bad and exaggerated and will leave you saying: "Huh.. i guess Alice has a new power now"

The movies are no longer about Resident evil per se, they're more about adding well known characters from the game and picking chunks of the RE storyline to make a ridiculous over the top action flick that's just bad entertainment.

The first one was pretty good. The latter ones got a bit over the top.

Who, me? If so, then pretty much.

Sean Bean got stabbed in the arm recently. He was at a bar in Camden with a lady friend, some dude was making vulgar remarks about her, and Bean decided to confront the guy. So the guy decides to stab his arm with broken glass! Bean was given a first aid kit because he didn't want to go to the hospital. And after stitching himself, Bean ordered another drink.

So it's true he only dies in the movies.
