92. Gangs of New York
Nearly 3 hours of sprawling and theatrical 1860's Manhattan gang violence. Plenty of memorable characters, lines, and scenes. One of my favorite performances from Daniel Day-Lewis. It wasn't made with quite as much finesse and care as Scorsese's more classic films, but I love it all the same and return to it at least annually for another round.

93.
The Departed (2006) starring Leo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, & Martin Sheen, written by William Monahan and directed by Martin Scorsese. A tense drama involving the Boston police dept. and Irish mafia. Frank (Nicholson) takes young Colin Sullivan under his wing and grooms him, and eventually becomes a mole in the department and rises to rank of Staff Sgt. (now played by Damon). DiCaprio while in the academy is recruited to infiltrate the mob, and struggles very hard emotionally with the assignment.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

One of my all-time favorites, plus the soundtrack comes off like a Dropkick Murphys album lol.

If it's one of your favorites, I recommend checking out the original Japanese version "Infernal Affairs". It's just as good (and some would argue better) than the American version.

Will check out! I hope it's subtitled and not one of those annoying voice-overs lol.

Another classic. Love the chemistry between the leads too, despite my general loathing of on-screen romance. And who doesn't love a young Angelina?! One of my favorite actresses.

Cantonese, not Japanese.
