Life of Pablo's cover = trash - 5
Life of Pablo's cover ≠ trash - 2

Fixed.

Whenever you think of Kanye West, you think "man this guys nuts". But he's so much more than that. He's a poet. He's an artist. He's a great hip hop artist specifically. I wasn't even really into him that much maybe a year ago? But for some reason, I always felt like I had to listen to his stuff. Of course, this came along with my still somewhat recent discovery of love for hip hop. I listen to hip hop almost religiously now, and I'm perfectly okay with it. There's so much pure lyricism and poetic-ness in hip hop today that it's almost like listening to angels sing. Same goes for Kanye West. Yeah, the man is crazy, sure. And he is obnoxious and out of his mind probably. But god damn does this man have a soul.

I've definitely enjoyed his live performances a lot lately, because his stage presence alone is just incredible. You think you're looking at this normal human being, but deep down you're listening to an artist truly speak his mind.

I know he gets a lot of ****, but never doubt his ability to make a solid hip hop album. He has several greats.

Chris Cornell

A few days ago now, we were hit were perhaps one of the bigger celebrity deaths we've had in some time. We've seen the likes of Michael Jackson, Prince, and David Bowie leave this Earth, and we now have to accept the fact that one of the greats has left this Earth as well. Chris Cornell was not just a vocalist for Soundgarden, he was so much more. He was everybody's friend, he was the reason so many of us grew up with amazing music being played through our speakers. We can't forget the fact that they were big around the time Nirvana and Alice in Chains were big, so it's impossible to not respect them for that.

Here's the deal. I have been listening to nothing but Soundgarden for the past few days, and I don't see that ending any time soon. I did grow up listening to them along with Audioslave, but until now I never actually just sat down and listened to their albums in full. I've always sort of listened to them here and there and always loved it. It's safe to say I'm sure that at this point, I feel like Soundgarden have made an amazing set of albums under their belt. Not one time in my listening sessions with Soundgarden did I even think to skip a track or even consider it bad. The entire chemistry of the band along with Chris Cornell's beautiful lyrics and singing style, it really creates an amazing experience to listen to their music.

Of course, this comes along with the added emotion that Chris Cornell is no longer here, so listening to him now just breaks your heart. Let's not also forget the fact that Audioslave was pretty huge as well. We've been talking about Soundgarden for so long that I almost forgot to mention that I have been listening to Audioslave for as long as I can remember.

If I remember correctly, Out of Exile was definitely among the first CD's I ever owned. My uncle had taken me to Easy Street Records when I was very young, and I remember he not only got me Out of Exile, but he got me And Justice For All..., Dookie, and a Rage Against The Machine album which I can't remember the name of now. Listening to this album again not only brings back those memories, but brings back memories of just listening to Audioslave all the time.

Truly an amazing thing to know that Chris Cornell was responsible for Soundgarden and Audioslave. Truly an amazing career under an amazing man and it's seriously a shame that he was taken from this Earth.

Rock on, Chris.
