I'm like that though. I always tend to go for the more difficult stuff first.

Rather than be gently exposed to something gradually I prefer to just throw myself straight into it & get used to it over time.

It's much more fun that way.

I'm loving that Johnny Paycheck version.

I love his voice, he reminds me a bit of Bon Scott from AC/DC. Not that they sound alike, but they both sound as if they've partaken in a few whiskeys from time to time.

    I found it.

It's on their Light User Syndrome album, I've not listened to that in ages.

Let's see if we can arrange some kind of exchange :)

    Wow really?

Which song was it. I posted a list of all the covers they've done somewhere. I don't remember seeing his name on it.

I know they did Merle Haggard's White Line Fever.

I've been thinking of doing a review of Gene Clark in your thread though - dunno if you're familiar with him, but he was one of the main songwriters in the classic Byrds lineup, and his solo debut White Light is a fantastic country/folk album, and another I reckon you'd dig.

That's if I can be bothered with a review of course :D

And I'll be looking forward to it.

Did you manage to check out the Byrds' Sweetheart Of the Rodeo by the way? It's not traditional like some of the albums I've seen in your thread, but I reckon you should look out for it if you can.
