A couple of songs

These have been bothering me for years; I hear them all the time but I can never figure out what they are.

One has a sound sort reminiscent of the 70's, and has a refrain that includes the words "Carry ooooon," with the "o" in "on" held out (not on a constant pitch) for a full four beats.

The other...I don't even have any lyrics for it. I made a MIDI of a few bars of the melody from memory, but I can't post a link to it yet since I'm too new; I can pm someone a link to it, I suppose (if it'll let me do that).

The first one is not Carry On by Fun, is it? It's what I thought of first.
