Question A song about hope

Hello there!

I'm not sure this is the right place to ask, because I'm don't know exactly what I am looking for...

Here's my problem : I'm making a video-game right now, and I would like the main character to sing an old song about hope, love and salvation.
Recently, I came across the song "Will the circle be unbroken", which was exactly what I was looking for, but was already used in the blockbuster Bioshock Infinite recently.

This is the "vibe" I would like to get in my scene. Something soft, a little melancholic, that could possibly be played with a single accoustic guitar.

I don't know much about music myself, so I thought I'd ask you people. Would anyone know of a similar song? I know it's a pretty vague question, so any answer is good, really.

Thanks for reading!

Someone I know suggested songs " The rugged cross" and "In the garden" when I asked your question.

Thanks a lot for you answers! I take good note of everything. If you have more ideas, feel free to tell! I have the feeling that it's going to be one hell of a tough choice...
