I''m new here but there seems to be a bit of a gap between 'Very Good' and 'Average' into which a lot of albums could fall into.

'Icky Thump' probably is somewhere in the middle but since it's better than average I suppose I'll have to vote 'Very Good'.

The White Stripes are one of the more interesting bands to have mainstream success but they will always be a live act over an albums band.

I think thats absolutely right. They've written some songs and I've thought to myself "which one of them was drunk for this one" but then you hear in concert and see the face of God - as an atheist - and you think "oh yeah, I'm an idiot."

I love most things this band have done, they have a certain charm about them. True to their roots, soulful guitar playing with storytelling lyrics.

Very good album.

I'd personally regard it as business as usual for them, fairly decent set of songs on the whole.

When I first heard Little Cream Soda as a teaser I almost ejaculated. Then I heard the rest and I was a little underwhelmed. I gave it a listen a couple of months later and I realised that I do in fact like it. I'd say it is a good album, but nothing WOWZERS. It's probably my 5th favourite of theirs.
