I'm sorry, but what? My favorite Kanye album was Graduation. The rest of this statement I will agree with, but I LOVED Graduation.

They had originally planned to release it under a different name to test the public and see if there was a market for it. I would argue that if they were to do that this album wouldn't have sold 100 copies.
doesn't that make it a poor album if it sold on the strength of kanye's reputation alone? Led Zeppelin famously released the album IV without the name "Led Zeppelin" on it to prove that they weren't selling cd's because of the band's rep, and it went and sold hundreds of thousands of copies.

Yea exactly, I'm saying that I liked the album but I probably wouldn't have bought or listened to the thing if his name wasn't attached to it.

street lights is the realist song on that album. Kanye was really going mainstream on this album but i think the opposite kinda happened - This album in its entirety is only for a small group of people.

I enjoyed it. It sounded a lot more electronic than his other releases. That's not just because of the autotune either. The production of the songs contributed to it. The drum in Robocop sounded like a ball bouncing in a factory and I loved it.
