i think people are way to obsessed with "21 Guns" it's not even all that good

I don't see how Green Day is still getting called punk, even pop-punk. There isn't anything punk about 21 Guns and half the other songs of the album.

Well it seems you're saying that they used to be punk, or at least pop-punk, which would mean that they could still be called a punk band. That'd be like saying the Beatles aren't pop because Tomorrow Never Knows is experimental; it doesn't change that they used to be pop.

But if you're saying that they were never punk, then that's just your opinion.

This probably isn't the best example...

Just because a band is experimental doesn't mean they're not a pop band. It has nothing to do with what they "used to be."

Well it was a bad example, I was just blanking on a good one. Just imagine any band that changed styles really.

Yeah Bad Brains is a great example, changeing styles isn't a bad thing but the one that green day is changing to sucks.
