I don't understand why this is better than Funeral. I have tried to get into this one, but I just don't understand why it recieves the praise it gets. It's good, but not good enough to win a grammy, but nowadays, who the **** cares about the grammys.
It's meh, but the videos are really good.

...and the guy above me has it all right, I'm bored as hell by the eighth track.

I have never heard anyone call it better than Funeral.

I have. Norway's largest newspaper wrote "Not only is this the band's [Arcade Fire] best album, it has also given the album as a format a new take" in their review. I disagree with both statements: Funeral is still their best album imo and even though it clearly is a concept album, it isn't a great example of one.

That been said, The Suburbs has grown on me. At first I was very disappointed but now I rather like it.

Sprawl 2 and We Used To Wait are the best songs.

So after somebody called me out on my opinion about the Arcade Fire I decided to go back and listen to their entire discography. I guess it just clicked with me because I love the band now. I don't know what I was thinking back then but I truly enjoy everything they are doing.

1. Funeral
2. Neon Bible
3. The Suburbs

Although some of my favorites songs are on The Suburbs ala Suburban War.

Gotta go brilliant on this one. For those who grew up in the suburbs in the 80's and earlier, this really hits home (well to me, at least).

The album art drew me to this album!

Arcade Fire is such a good act. Despite their "trendy-hipsterness". They get a 8 in my book. Heck, I love trendy-hipster, hard-to-get music.

But they're very very popular and you can get their CDs just about anywhere...
