On my second listen now. This album could have been a wonderful 45 minute album they had removed all the pointless noodling from it. 'Old Dreams Waiting To Be Realized' is as pointless as it gets. They've attempted a lengthy drone epic and fallen flat on their faces, there is nothing going on keep the listener in a trance. There's also plenty of experimenting for the sake of experimenting moments elsewhere that would have been better left off the album.

As I said it could have been a wonderful 45 minute album and some tracks are brilliantly done, such as the opening track 'Tooth For an Eye' and the swirling, hypnotic 'Raging Lung'. It sounds better on the second listen but still feels like a lot to chew on, very far removed from the immediately enjoyable synthpop of Deep Cuts.

It does suck. There's nothing to 'get'. Horrible, horrible album. It sucks, if you pretend to like it, you suck. See sense. Bad album.
:/

That being said, my girlfriend has songs like Heartbeat, and i was like "Ha! GAAAAAYYY" But maybe I'm thinking of that one with the girl like "i kissed your brother" or something. Are those the same song?

Surell, I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Pretty sure we're all hearing the same music.

I agree with you mankey, I too think new Knife is butt, but that doesn't mean I have to poop on everyone else about it.

C'mon, that's like the first thing everyone learns when they join MB. No matter what your opinion about a piece of music is, there is always someone out there with the opposite one

I never really liked the knife to begin with, tbh. They're just creepy.

Yeah the couple of Deep Cuts tracks I've heard are pretty eeerie, but most of my favorite pop is so i don't mind it.

oh you guys. Why can't we all wank over great 2013 albums like the 20/20 Experience and Flowers for my Father rather than this over produced train wreck?
