I feel the same about them as I do about the Beatles, that their early stuff was great and the later stuff too experimental and not worth listening to. Brian Wilson was a musical genius but lost it through excessive drug use.
Great harmonies and the Wilson brothers singing along with Mike Love's voice suited the early songs perfectly.

For me The Beach Boys were actually a far more creative
