Anyone watch The Mighty Boosh? One of the main characters adores Gary Numan!

i got into Gary Numan through one of my buds at school. I began to like him even more after i considered his originality.

I like his music and image during his 'Dance' and 'I, Assassin' periods.

Cars. My mom played it to me when I was a child, so I would fall asleep. I remember having dreams of cars at the movie drive-in with big breasted girls in skirts, dancing around.

Replicas is a great album. He did fade pretty badly after his first three albums though, which is a shame really (avoid his Strange Charm album like the plague).

As for his best song, I've never really been so fond of Cars. There's a song called We Have a Technical, a bonus track on the CD reissue of Replicas, which is an absolute masterpiece.

Numan is pretty fantastic. His earlier synth-pop stuff is really great, and the later industrial style stuff is cool too.

Hybrid, the remix album is really good.

A pioneer of synth pop. Probably one of the most famous.
