My interest in their music declined quickly.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

I don't think I ever held any interest in their music.

Me neither. I immediately discarded them as "emo" and kinda embarassing.

Maybe that's not fair. I mean, it's not like I've given them a chance to convince me otherwise, but my intuition tells me that bands like these make music that appeals more to (american) teenagers than people like me. I don't think I'll relate much to anything they produce, so while there's still music out there that I'm quite eager to listen to, My Chemical is nowhere near my to-do list and probably never will be.

I mean, if I was all alone on an island with nothing but a working CD-player and a Chemical Romance album, then sure.

The first song I heard was Black Parade and it's very grandiose and charming, but it looses it's luster quickly. There was some creativity on that album, but overall I've maybe given it 25 spins in three years.

o.O Metallica isn't bad. Why are you kicking someone out of a thread because of the music they like?

Truthfully, I was disappointed when I heard that album.

My parents heard it and automatically thought of Queen.

Granted, it was what MCR was going for.

But it wasn't MCR.

It was TBP.

And that annoyed me.

To me, they weren't well-known enough to have created an alter-ego.

And they should have stayed with their old stuff to keep the fans going instead of changing their genre so quickly.
