honeslty, mj last good album was bad. Some people blame his life style for effecting his work. I believe even if MJ didn't have all the craziness in his life, his popularity still would of declined. He hasn't been able to re-invent himself to keep up with modern times, Invincible was a sad attempt. I agree he is great talent and he is one of greatest artist in history. Of the wall is an amazing album but his time is over.

I don't recall anyone saying Jackson does nothing , just that he relies on a production team and certain songwriters to help him out. Something you've not disputed either, so how does it feel knowing you're agreeing with 'arrogant music fans'?

Well... I dont feel anything. You can take it any kind of way you want to take it. If the shoe dont fit, dont wear it. I never mentioned anybody said that on here even though there ARE some arrogant music lovers on here. The statement was "general" so that would tell you opinions on Jacksons music are made everyday BESIDES opinions on this forum.

LOL I agree to. I just feel Jackson made other great works and classics with his other albums as well which does not get as much recognition as Thriller.

LOL @ "Earth song": you can not base an entire album off of ONE song.

I liked History but thats just my personal opinion. Not Jacksons "best" but it still had it share of quality works which always get over looked like some of his other songs after Thriller.

Dont go by singles. You should listen to the entire album. Its not Jacksons best work but it was highly underrated as for certain tracks.

Oh yes of course, even though you're talking about a discussion that was happening here earlier you weren't actually referring to any of that discussion at all or the people who posted in it.

Nicely backtracked

I think the reasons people use to criticize Jackson as a musician are very dumb, especially when they bring up the child rape stuff, but also not giving him any credit as a songwriter, Billie Jean is his defining moment and he wrote it, and also the Prince comparisons, Jackson not writing ALL his songs, not playing any instruments, etc, dumb crap. The kinda thing that should make every motown singer a talentless hack.

If you're gonna jump on Michael Jackson, at least let it be for the right reasons. Which is writing We Are The World, Heal the World and Earth Song. If THAT's why you hate Michael Jackson, then I can't blame you.

So I disagree with you strongly on Bad and Dangerous, they lack the R&B flavor but I think they were excellent pop albums. Sure Dangerous had the epic sh*tfest that was Heal the World, but the rest of the album is so damn good that it makes up for it... Well, almost.

Jackson's true decline (musically that is) started with HIStory, what a bloated mess.
I really like Dangerous too. It does get a lot of stick though. It's very true that Heal The World is awful and the album does trail off in quality towards the end I feel which is disappointing but the first few tracks are actually very good in my opinion. It was the first MJ album I owned which may have something to do with it, I loved it when I was younger. I still feel he did well to successfully move with the times on that record without selling himself short.

The worm generally turns when careless choices are made.
