it's still pretty much uncompleted

Brian Wilson's version is the final version, but i don't think it's anything great, pleasant sure

Yeah the Monkees! After the Beatles and The Beach Boys, probably my all time favorite pop band. They even managed to knock the Beatles out of the number one spot in the charts. Not bad for a 'fake' band!

Sorry! There I go again! Good thing I caught myself before I started raving about the Banana Splits!

Incomplete it's still much better than most anything out. There isn't a whole lot missing anyway, just ends of songs here and there.

I'm going with The Beach Boys since I don't really care for The Beatles.

The Beatles. Definitely. The Beach Boys had some really cool songs, but The Beatles were way ahead of their time period and they made the first psychedelic pop album. MILLIONS of fans can't be wrong.

The Beach Boys also have millions of fans so I'm not sure that line of reasoning really works.

This is a very odd comparision... Their both influential bands why compare them?

Gotta remember though, if it wasn't for Pet Sounds, there may have never been a Sgt Pepper. Pet Sounds came out a full year before Sgt. pepper and Paul has stated repeatedly that it was a direct influence and a real prod for the Beatles to up their game. Pet Sounds might not be overtly psychedelic but it's still a pretty trippy record...I have to say too, as much as I love the Beatles, Sgt. Pepper is probably my least favorite record of theirs. I still listen to Pet Sounds all the time.
