I will say this. Rebecca Black, good on you for sticking your neck out.

I mean, really, as terrible as she is, I respect her a million times more than the people inevitably making YTMND pages about it on the Internet to feign superiority. She took a risk, **** it.

With that said now, I only hope she fades into obscurity. I think if anything is a joke it's the fact that as a culture we're hyping this "har... It's so baddd it's funneeyyy" **** rather than promoting good music that goes unheard of(99% of all decent new music). I don't think this is a commentary about her, but as ludicrously stupid the Internet generation can be at times, as well as mentioned, the hypocrisy of pop elitists.

I don't think Rebecca Black is a loser at all, I think the world that tears into her are failures. She did something for the **** of it not expecting to become this phenomenon. Unlike popular pop stars she's not a seedy deluded wannabe diva with too much money, hyping, and backing. Just some dumb girl who made something fun to feel good. I respect that, it should have stayed that, and she should have done it without ridicule.

I actually feel really bad for her. Death threats? I mean seriously there is a difference between disliking her song and making it personal. She didn't exactly write it herself.

I agree, Vanilla. Apparently, 4chan are launching (launched?) an all-out "attack" on her middle school today, calling and faxing in inappropriate things. I mean, if you're going to attack anyone, don't attack a 13 year old girl. Attack the dumbass parents that paid to have the song made, or even better, the damned company that makes these horrible "music videos" and "pop stars".

It's like she's still a little girl, she was just dreaming of being a star like most little girls do. She's not an adult so people need to stop hating on her as though she could handle it. Not that I condone it to any other celebrity. The poor girl is bound to pick up an eating disorder/addiction of some sort to cope with the abuse sooner or later so stfu!

Or they should look into the mirror.

Also, I retract my neck sticking out statement. Some reason, I didn't really pay attention to this Ark thing, and assumed it was something she recorded on her own somehow.

Where did you hear she was getting death threats? That's insane if true.

The only thing I'm making fun of (and I think the majority of people are too) is the ridiculous writing, which, like you said, isn't her. I found the guy's rap verse the funniest part of the whole song.

I would take an Internet death threat with a grain of salt. With that said, I'd say this was definitely going to far long before this point.

I've been pissed off at the autonomous masses of the Internet a long time for things like this. I mean, what does any of this prove? It proves that as an anonymous collective we prefer to invest our time creating Internet victims to compensate for our own faults. It's easy to ridicule a girl who appears to be pathetic while you're sitting in the dark munching down potato chips, isn't it?

4chan in particular are a large group of disgusting hypocrites. Basically, self righteous attention seeking *******s who just go too far so they can be the 'cool one at the party'. Rather than pumping up these Internet fads because they're so sarcastic they're funny, we should spend more time attempting to enrich our culture by sharing things we think are well done, and deserve praise.

If you ask me, it's disgusting.
