Completely fine if you want to discredit him because you don't like the songs that he has written.

I still think there is something to be said for having numerous hits. If it was just one or two. Then you could just brush it off as a fluke like those bob the builder songs but that's not the case.

You aren't having the same discussion it seems.

I like OneRepublic to be honest.

Yeah, the way I see it there are far worse bands than Coldplay that have achieved similar success.

I'd take Coldplay over Arctic Monkeys, Snow Patrol, Razorlight, Foster the People, Fun. or The Script anyday.

Okay, Coldplay are a bigger name than any of those (and that exposure is probably why they have more haters, but you catch my drift)

Wow... Not gonna flame you for having different taste, but I assume that is a very unpopular opinion.

Haven't listened much to SnowPatrol, Razorlight, or The Script, but the I like the other 3 all better than Coldplay.

I thought everyone recognized Fun. & Foster the People as rotten unless we're talking about the people who listen to them to proclaim to not being hispters coz they ironically listen to something mainstream.

I could see why people like Arctic Monkeys. They've got their own style and sound, but the lad culture of their music and fans puts me off.
Plus, I don't think they're actually very talented musicians and personally I find them nauseating.

I actually like Parachutes which is more than I can say for any of the other bands' material. But like you said, it's maybe an unpopular opinion. (although on here, I wouldn't doubt if it was a popular one)

That site told me absolutely nothing about anything. I still have no real idea what a "lad" is.
