Here's one of the most famous duets of the 60s. Like so much pop, it's a rather manufactured commodity and looking at it today I wondered, what exactly is the product Sonny and Cher are offering ?

Answer, imo: buy into a hippy fairy tale about two good-looking lovers, united in rejecting convention and living in blissful poverty. I feel that they, and the entire audience should be wearing rose-coloured spectacles.
My grandma loves that song lol

She and I are probably the same generation Is there a Spanish language version, or does she like the original?

Also, I thought again about what I wrote: maybe there is a time in our lives when it's perfectly valid to hope that love will conquer all. That's what young people deserve: to explore the chance of a happy romantic future.

I don't think there's a Spanish version, she likes the original one, and my grandma isn't Spanish. And she's 83.
I think that about 98% of popular music is about happy romantic future lol.
