Yesterday I had this brilliant idea to create the Playlist of our favourite classy pop hits !:love:

This is from Eurovision Song Contest .., but just a brilliant pop song !

You have a good taste - except of Backstreet Boys. :)

I like more "My favourite game" from the Cardigans.

One of the best songs of the 80ies at all in my opinion is "All you zombies" from The Hooters (1985). :bowdown: But of course there are many other brilliant songs in this decade.



(I like those "non-videos" because you can concentrate on the music.)

Could you please post some songs from the zeros you like very much?

PS: For me "All you zombies" is the best song from 1985. And I had to smile when I once read that The Hooters were/are very successful in Germany and have many fans here - in contrast to other European countries.

Thank you very much for this lesson because I'm not very well educated concerning the last two decades. I am a retro fanatic which means that I prefer the sixties, seventies and eighties - and a bit the nineties. In my opinion the zeros and the tennies are bull**** decades. There's a strong decline which already begins in the nineties.

I like the Moby song from your list very much. I know some Italian words too: Benito, Silvio, Matteo :)

Perhaps you like this German song. I remember it from the nineties and I thought it must be a cover from an English hit because it is quite good. But it is of German origin. I sometimes ask myself: What about all these good non-English songs in the world which could be covered and become more international?

"La isla bonita" is a good song. As a German I would like to know how this song "worked" in America during Reaganism. :)

In my opinion threads and postings become more interesting and readable when they are not flooded with Youtube videos without any personal comment.

The personal dimension makes it interesting.

All members can feel addressed. :)

Depends on the video. Sometimes videos grouped together have more of an impact than personal commentary. Also, the video should have some visual interest - most of which is completely subjective - regardless of the poster's interest. And sometimes the commentary is far more interesting than the video. No hard and fast rules for any post except for causing offense to someone; which is darned near impossible as well.

Some don't require comment but just reflect a mood (or a response) like this 90s classic -

"Lost on you" from LP has been released in 2016. So this is obviously the wrong thread. :nono:

By the way: She wrote this song on her own. Without any male help. This increases my respect. :)

I just can say that I hate these postings flooded with videos. And with no comment. The loading performance is bad. The thread becomes more unattractive. It is simply more asthetic when you have a posting with just one video. The structure of the thread is better.

And personal comments make a forum what it is invented for. :)
