Castles made of Sand and Hey Joe. Can't choose between the two.

Any time I put the words "favorite" and "Jimi Hendrix" together it always leads to the Band of Gypsies GROSSLY underrated Hendrix project.

Stone Free is such a great song. When those two snare beats hit and then the solo. Feck yeah!

I have never heard Band Of Gypsies I'm afraid to say.

Your missing out.The ensemble hendrix created immediately after "Experience" disbanded. The only album they put out was a s/t live new years eve show (69/70) at the Fillmore East. It's far and away my favorite Hendrix album and what seems to be the least well known. I'll see if I can set you up.

Band of Gypsy's is my favourite Hendrix record to put on too. I listen to that much more than I do the Experience LP's.

I'm listening now and it's damn good but not so sure that it's better than the superlative debut.

Heh I think I was putting something on your Last FM page at the same time you were typing this. I saw you were listening to it on Last FM. Maybe I just prefer to listen to Hendrix' live material, but I just dont think I will ever, ever get bored of Band of Gypsys.
