Yeah I have. Holler back if you haven't got it yet.

Thoughts on the new album peeps?

Still looking for it.

I got a leaked copy of the album last week and despite it's less than satisfactory sound quality I was able to really enjoy the album. The occasional pops and clicks were no match for the awesomeness that is The Incident. I really hope that Hypocrisy's new album can give The Incident some fair game because I'm set to give it top spot as my Album of the Year.

I'm going to have to reserve judgement until I get it on CD. The second CD with the longer tracks appeal to me a lot more at this early srage.

I don't get it. Maybe it's a grower, but the first listen did absolutely nothing for me. I thought it was bland, boring, and overall completely mediocre and disappointing. The lyrics seemed boring and uninspiring, several were cringe-worthy, and overall the album just didn't seem to flow well at all (random interlude tracks in odd places). Just didn't do anything for me at all.

It's okay, I've got a copy now (thanks Pete!), but thanks anyway!

Though I haven't listened yet due to being overseas etc. I've heard nothing but good things about it though.

Right there with you. It sounds too recycled for me. Especially after all the talk Steven Wilson feeds his fans about how no two albums will sound the same. The sound is redundant and I'm tired of it. If I wanted to hear a blend of Fear of a Blank Planet and Deadwing, I'll craft a playlist.

In Absentia has to be their best album. Deadwing their most accesible. And sorry, but FoaBP was completely dissapointing to me.

What is there to apologize about? It's half-true.

Thank god. I was thinking that people were going to praise every single PT album.
The first track on it stretches out for too long. Then the 17-minute track was just decent, but there was absolutely no reason for it to be that long.
