As for Water's major step into the solo world, I could side with your opinion on Clapton there, at least when it comes to his Post-Cream work.

Im pretty sad more didnt get any votes. I mean i didnt vote for it but Im regretting it now. its such a fantastic album.

I'd not say it's their best, but it's pretty close if only for "Cymbaline" and "Green is the colour" alone.
