How is that obvious? The obvious / more popular answers in my opinion would be Wish You Were Here, Animals, or The Wall. And judging by the poll, Dark Side of The Moon.

There clearly was a problem between Waters and Wright.
- Richard Wright - Fired During Recording The Wall Album | Neptune Pink Floyd

Anyway, honestly, I don't have a favorite, but I don't like the more progressive Pink Floyd albums, too self-indulgent.

Doubting is out of the question, DotM is absolutely the best. It's just so damn perfect, I can't say a single thing bad about it.

Why do people prefer Animals over WYWH? I mean, Animals is great and all but I don't see why people in general apparently prefer Animals over WYWH. =/

Two very different versions of Pink Floyd and both great.

WYWH: The Perfect album. The Perfect Pink Floyd album. The band playing super together. All band members contribute to the songs and instrumental parts.

Animals: Wright almost gone. Mason not alowed to do much. A battle between Waters almost insane ideas with lyrics and concepts and then Gilmours hard work with making good music to that. A raw album. A harsh album. An angry album. Great lyrics by Waters. Some of Gilmours best guitar work.

Both albums are masterpieces. But they almost cant get more different.
